Meet the Staff

Pastor Gary Bateman and his wife, Kimberly, lead the congregation here at the Alligood Church of God. A fourth-generation Pentecostal, Pastor Bateman has been in ministry for over 32 years. He has served as lead pastor at the Manns Harbor, Old Mill, and Warrenton Church of God. Pastor is a native of Williamston, NC. He has three children, Sean, Elijah, and Annika, and three grandchildren. Pastor Bateman is a graduate of Lee University and serves the Eastern North Carolina Church of God State Office in various leadership roles. Pastor Bateman is passionate about ministry and has a deep love for the community and its people. He is committed to leading people to Christ and has a deeper calling to serve in the Kingdom.

Pastor Craig Godley has been attending Alligood Church since 1997.  He began working full-time at the church in July 2020.  As Executive Pastor, he supports all the ministries of the church in any way possible.  He and his wife, Jennifer, were married in January 2003 and have three adult children, Jessica, April & Ryan, and seven grandsons, Cayde, Ezra, Benjamin, Ezekiel, Cooper, Cason & Wesley.  

Pastor Zach Woolard joined our staff in April of 2022 as our first-ever full-time youth pastor.  He and his wife, April, have attended our church since they were children.  As our Youth Pastor, Zach is passionate about the youth of our church and community.  He and April have three boys, Cayde, Cooper & Cason.  He loves being outdoors and loves being a part of developing the next generation.
